Patriarchy has existed for about 3% of humanity and the single family home stay at home Mom has been common for about 0.07% of human history. While most hunter-gatherer tribes practiced a form of egalitarian communism for most of our history.

Why define it as communism though? I think hunter gatherer tribes simply adopted the only system which naturally worked for them, given the scale at which they operated, resources available to them, technology etc etc

The problem is that Dunbar’s number does not YET scale above 150-300. In those communities, no one coercively confiscated other tribe members’ property. It was essentially an me big extended family. Doesn’t really apply to billions of people that have no social or empathetic bond. Hence,...
