learn to tie a tourniquet 🤙 you never know when you may need it!

crazy freak accident. slipped in light rain and put a filet knife through my leg

hit an artery and the tibia. got pretty dicey very fast.

luckily had some very level-headed friends there who helped me tourniquet and press and get to the trauma center and navigate the doctors in spanish

anyway, feels like a good reminder to learn more first aid and accident response care. 🧠

ultimately got 5 internal stitches to close the artery, deep tissue and fascia, and 9 external.

at least I don’t see my shin bone anymore 😭 🤙 stay safe
