I'm not a website accessibility expert but I've been learning the past few months and as of a week ago I've got our local rural regional library's website up to a solid result according to the IBM Acc...
A few other notes about the website:
- Static, hand coded html/css.
- Almost no javascript. I think at this point, the only javascript is the jotform links.
- The html for most pages come in at under 15kb. Even with images our site loads up fast even on slow rural internet.
At this point all of my sites are accessible though they could all use improvement. I'm still learning. You don't know what you don't know.
And they're all hand coded to be efficient and quick to load. Almost 100% free of javascript. The last thing I need to do over the next year or two is to get them all free of Google fonts. A mistake I made years ago.
