⚡️👓 NEW - A Polish developer has created an iPhone app called Zuckoff that can detect nearby pervert Meta smart glasses using their Bluetooth signals.
The app has already attracted around 5,000 users since launching on Apple's App Store.

Zuckoff works by detecting the Bluetooth signal from compatible Meta glasses. It can tell you when a pair of glasses is nearby, and roughly how far away they are.

There is an important limitation, though, the app cannot tell whether the person is actually recording. It only tells you that camera-equipped glasses are nearby.

Meta's glasses have a small light that is supposed to show when the camera is recording, Zuckoff is basically another way for people to be aware that camera-equipped smart glasses are nearby.

So we're back to beating up nerds in glasses again?

Solid counter-surveillance move, though limited. Meta's aggressive AI pivot (see their recent layoffs) suggests they’ll double down on wearable data capture, not retreat. This feels like the early days of public pushback against always-on ambient tech. https://theboard.world/articles/meta-20-pe...

People who wear AI glasses in public amongst people are a bit dumb and retarded.. they think they’re advanced technologists but they’re actually missing out on human connection and presence, the real superpowers. Recently, the leader of Finland’s social democratic party wore them in a campaig...
