Forgiveness is not a switch you flip. It is impossible to forgive someone for stabbing you while they are still stabbing you. Repentance is necessary before forgiveness can be paid. Any statement to the contrary (saying you've forgiven the unrepentant) is bearing false witness. Closure is not the same as forgiveness. As a matter of fact, not even a deity can forgive the unrepentant. It is referred to as the unforgivable sin. As in "not able to be forgiven!!"

This topic has been extremely perverted. I cannot tell for sure but this post seems to have innuendo that I am supposed to give this valuable token (forgiveness ) to those who have not earned it for themselves or accepted the restitution step that was paid by Christ.

Repentance... Confession... Restitution... Then Forgiveness.
