I mean the smallest and most limited government ever created has grown into the largest leviathan ever known. We have the same track record as the other "-ism" governments.

They all create an imaginary entity and then dress people in costumes that claim to speak for that entity.

The workers
So on and so forth.

These things can't be spoken to or brought into a room. They are just ideas... They do not exist.

And guess what... It is always the same result... They always suggest that the best way to protect the golden rule is to dress people up in a costume and give them the monopoly on breaking the golden rule.

America's "core values" are a myth... Just like any other creation myth that you have spotted from a mile away.

Which Bible is "the" Bible we are to read to earn your reading of our suggestion? The protestant or Catholic or NIV or King James? Sometimes there are extra/missing "books" within the book.

If you get to decide which Bible is "the" Bible then why? If you decide that you do know which Bible is the right one then is that not self worship?

God (no matter which one anyone is advocating for) has to equal truth. If not then all of the dominoes fall down. So when someone holds up a book and says "this IS the truth"... Well... That means they are no longer on the journey seeking truth but rather have told themselves they have arrived!

Then by definition if they appreciate time with their kids then they will reach out... And by definition they should set the example to the child of reaching out.

All parents know that you don't have to force children to eat their sugar... Likewise, you don't have to shame them into reaching out to spend time in relationships that are mutually beneficial and enjoyable.

Just make sure the child is benefiting from their relationship with you and let nature take its course... Call them and show them by example how much they mean to you and watch them become your reflection in the mirror.

Why do post like this never say "call your kids"

Like... If there is a thing going and more talk needs to happen between any parent and their children then the parents have the responsibility to be valuable in the children's life before any obligation for the children to be valuable in the parents life. Relationships between parents and children are by definition built by the parents. Power dynamic in the beginning puts moral responsibility on the parent. Children learn their relationship habits from their parents.

Don't get me wrong I called my dad yesterday because I got word that he was headed to the doctor and I wanted to check up on him... But as a society we need to put the responsibility where it goes and we kind of have it backwards lately.

Nah... Really really simple... Build yourself into good parent material and other good parent material will be drawn to you naturally... Will seek you out like a missile! If you are having trouble finding a great parent to team up with then the first place to look is inward.

When they tell you they love you after y'all just got pulled over and given a citation for an unrestrained child cuz you let em stick thier head out of the sun roof on a beautiful summer night after took em to get a strawberry shake! That's a good feeling too!

Our politicians are our reflection in the mirror when we call murder for hire (paid for by fiat) a heros calling.

Murder for hire is not a moral profession. It really doesn't matter how much you drench it in colorful language. Signing up to a service where you point a gun at who you're told while being called a hero might just be part of the problem we say we are trying to solve here.
