Getting a hug from my son while he says “I love you, dada” is the greatest feeling in the world.

When they tell you they love you after y'all just got pulled over and given a citation for an unrestrained child cuz you let em stick thier head out of the sun roof on a beautiful summer night after took em to get a strawberry shake! That's a good feeling too!

But when you're driving away and your 5 yr old asks "dad, why are cops bitches?"

That might be the greatest feeling!

Fair enough. I was more specifically referring to them opposing me for choosing to do something (promote Bitcoin adoption) they don’t like. The other choice I had in that election was a candidate who as VP was part of the team that almost got me removed from my career simply because I chose not...

Quick note on Memorial Day: a sincere thank you to all the brave souls who fought and died for this beautiful country, and to those who still fight today. When it comes to supporting our troops, it do...

Murder for hire is not a moral profession. It really doesn't matter how much you drench it in colorful language. Signing up to a service where you point a gun at who you're told while being called a hero might just be part of the problem we say we are trying to solve here.

Is communism an infection or a disease? Asking for a friend
Clayton profile picture
It is just an idea. Like all ideas on how to create a monopoly on initiating force and breaking the golden rule while calling it "necessary".

It almost always involves creating an imaginary entity that can't be questioned or brought into a room.

"The poor" or "the workers" -communism
"The earth" - medicine men
"God" - theocracies
"The majority" - democracies

Then have a person that claims to speak for the imaginary entity... And guess what?!?

The imaginary entity always says that it is ok for them to hurt people and take their stuff.

The idea of government is born from the corrupt. It is not that Corruption is born from government. People want something for nothing. That's like saying the sky is blue. The humans around us that refuse to accept that you can't get something for nothing will try to rationalize theft to get the illusion of something for nothing.

There is no "-ism" that is a disease.

There are only the rational and the irrational. Those that choose to be and those that choose not to be. Once you choose not to exist as a human (all 2 years olds have respect for logic, reason, evidence and justice) then you must exist as something else. This creature has chosen to maintain contradiction rather than pick a side.

"The golden rule is good"
"We should elect people who we will allow to break the golden rule!"

"Don't lie."
"Santa is coming"

"The best way to preserve the golden rule is to dress people up in a costume and pay them to break the Golden rule!"

The "disease" you're looking for is easy to see when your neighbor has it...not so easy to see when we ourselves are infected.

Saving in Bitcoin is far more powerful than voting. That’s not to say you shouldn’t vote. You should. But voting alone won’t fix the problems that got us here. Separating money from state wil...

So... We "should" participate in a violent monopoly where the biggest gang enforces their will onto the smaller gangs. We "should" participate in the immoral and irrational but that won't fix the problem on its own!!!

Maybe participating in the immoral and irrational while calling it necessary part of being an engaged citizen is part of the problem.

It’s not “necessary.” Don’t vote if you don’t want to. But it only takes a few minutes of your day. And you’re probably a better judge of the candidates than a typical voter, give you’re on Nostr.

Build good days
Stack one on the other.
Don't knock it over.
If you do knock it over start again.
Go higher.
As you build and don't knock it over then you begin to trust yourself not to knock it over.

You're drawn to yourself and feel pride and appreciation for the tower you're building. You begin to protect the builder. The builder gets even better.

Violence and the threat of violence is how all fiat tokens as well as the fractional reserves thereof are propped up.

Once a monopoly on violence is achieved and taxation is enforced then the enforcing monopoly tells the population what token to use for the tax payment.

Since the population wants to avoid the violence they will accumulate the token necessary to dodge it.

The frustration of not being able to create something from nothing is what leads a human to pick up the weapon in the first place. The weak human will not accept the reality that rocks cannot be turned to gold. They make the choice to be unproductive. They maintain the conclusion that this is ok but they still need resources. Stealing resources becomes necessary for their survival at this point but being the coward they have to rationalize a reason for deserving resources from the productive.

Violence emerges from weak humans out of the desire of something for nothing. The strong accept reality and choose productivity an fair trade.
