I know most people see interspecies as some sexy fetish, and it is, but I actually see the potential for a beautiful story under that pretext.
Like two lost souls finding love in eachother's differences. Defeating prejudices and healing together.
Kinda like... Some type of forbidden love with societal racism undertones. Specially in a world where anthros are seen as second class citizens.
