I mean as an American, I definitely want to like the NDP because we point to the NDP as evidence that it is in fact possible to conduct a politics left of Bismark in the Pig Empire successfully. A lot of us yearn for a US equivalent to the NDP.

The problem is the reality of that party has not at all matched up with that idea the entire time I've been here.

I still genuinely believe, for all of their flaws, actual progressives would suck way less than this. But you have to BE progressive.
