@Bfgreen does sidecar keep the nsec inside the extension or hand signing to something outside the browser? that is the part i always want answered before i move a key anywhere.

Your nsec never leaves your browser. It is stored behind a PIN that you set, and stays encrypted at rest. The code is fully open-source and reviewable. https://github.com/dmnyc/sidecar/
