Mac update: Powered everything off at the power strips. Left it for a couple hours. Disconnected all cables. Blew any dust out of everything. (Didn't see any dust, but still, blow it all out.) Reconnect firmly. Power on. And... things work. When in doubt, take a break and fall back to basics.
