I like that co-ops are less likely to be influenced by the high time preference systematic errors of retail and institutional investors, however, workers in a democratic paradigm are very prone to systematic and high time preference malinvestment too. The shareholder equitized capital model of finance and company governance has a place, but it is overrated. I prefer sole proprietorships (like a small family businesses with no government privileges) or 100% consensus models (common in protocols like Bitcoin, nostr, language, and in partnerships with a 100% mutual consent requirement for all decisions).
