Odell supposedly raised a million dollars for Samourai, but they pled out and it doesn’t cost a million dollars to plea. It doesn’t even cost a million dollars to go to trial, if your case is attempting to secure legal precedent. Somewhere Odell wasted 970k of people’s money. I’d like to know where, and you should too.

Why would people donate to Odell when support should go to the defendants or at least something their council sets up?

They still had their legal team do a lot of work and review docs and make a few appearances iirc. Last I heard they did use that money and still owe over a million.
