Just walked past an old geezer seemingly fishing out electrical cables from a plastic recycling bin

He had a long hooked thing that he fed into the bin and loads of power cables next to him

I don’t know what to make of this

The wife threw out his man draw and he is determined to get all the stuff back. Forget that he lost that Nokia 3210 about 20 years ago…you never know when you may need the charger cable again!!

That’s a high-hash rate physical operation right there. Scavenging for copper is the original Proof of Work.

Proof that there’s plenty of fish in the sea, but the best ones are in the yellow bins.

sadly, I see it often and very disheartening. Here it's not cables, it'a food they're after. 🥺🙏

Here in Amsterdam they don't lock the bins anymore so ppl can freely dumpster dive. Inner city is filthy though. Sad.
