All bitcoin hardware sellers should state right in product description or in add to cart how long they store the customer data (and if required by law). And this period should be as short as possible.

Seedsigner self assembled, parts purchased from different stores, preferably cash is best practice in my opinion. I wouldn't trust soft logic to protect me from bad actors.

I can't agree more. I do believe coinkite does state that and although I'm not impressed by any data collection I am by their products.
