I’m reading my first fiction book in four years, since Rhythm of War.

It’s called The Lost Metal and it came out a couple years ago but I’m behind on my fiction, since my financial work engulfed me ever since the pandemic.

Both of these are like deep sequels into stories I’ve been reading for a decade from Brandon Sanderson.

If anyone is interested in his universe, imo the best place to start is Mistborn.

I haven't read the Mistborn books yet. I read the Skyward series a while back. Fun stuff

I read the first two books of Stormlight Archive a few years ago and need to get back to them as I enjoyed them quite a bit. I read a lot of fiction, but don’t often get to fantasy/sci-fi even though I enjoy it when I do.

Brandon Sanderson is a great fantasy and Sci-fi author! Amazing how creative and prolific he is.

Stormlight is such a good series! I just finished my re-listen of Rhythm of War. So good. Brandon is awesome. Have you read The Emperor’s Soul? It’s a great one too. It’s shorter. He won the Hugo for that one.

Lord Ruler! Agree Mistborn was great. Hoping for a movie/series. Currently reading The Way of Kings and enjoying it.

I couldn't get through the second book of Mistborn, liked the first one, second was just not my cup of tea. For a good stand alone, I absolutely loved his novel "Elantris."

What a coincidence! I’m currently half way through the same book! Sanderson takes a bit of getting used to imo.. you start with a heist and by the end of the trilogy you’re in a completely different, worldshattering story. I like how he pieces it all together though, it’s thoughtful and well...

Didn’t go for The Mandibles yet?

I’ve been a Sanderson fan since he ended the Wheel of Time series after Jordan died.
