On iOS if you long press on a QR code in an image it will show the encoded string for you to copy or open in a suggested app.

i use a qr and barcode scanner app off of fdroid (can also build from source and sideload) for years now. its a useful tool to have on an android phone. i share qr screenshots into it fairly seemlessly

Needs to be a side bar or swipe motion over your phone.
