I’ve been married 19 years today.
I can honestly, & a little surprisingly say that I’m more in love with my wife now than I was in 2007. We’ve both aged, & we’re not quite as sexy as we once were, but I suppose good relationships are a lot like whiskey.
When they’re young, they’re clear, fiery, & intense. But give them time, trap them in a good oak barrel, & the sharp edges start to round off.
It becomes smoother, deeper, more enjoyable… & one day you realize, holy shit, this has turned into something pretty magical.
