completely retarded who thinks otherwise

They should change it to the 69th sat in the second output, that would for sure be more valuable.
sudocarlos · 178w
My take away from what I've heard Casey discuss on your show and #[2] 's is that you must first subscribe to the idea that sats can be tracked from inputs to outputs and I just disagree with this too. Someone could come along tomorrow and point out a flaw in the way that this is being tracked and ex...

ā€œRare satsā€ are mere distraction and ā€œarrogance.ā€ Stay humble and stack sats. 🫔

Enemies of monetary fungibility are enemies of humanity. They want slavery for you.
untraceable · 178w
hm idk man, if 1 sat = 1 sat and they were all equal, we wouldn't need coinjoin. Inscriptions didn't change anything, but it did take advantage of sats being distinguishable but if you wanna say your sats "identify as" fungible, I will try and address them as such to not hurt their feelings. eit...

All sats are rare sats.
James3v9 · 178w
Imagine trying to trade your 1 "rare sat" for 2 "regular sats" - expect to be declined
Glow āš”ļø · 178w
Even satoshi's sats are not rare. Because sats are only numbers in a ledger. (Satoshi UTXOs have a special power though, when they move people will panic!)
BitcoinBufo · 178w
Every sat is rare
Zen Ben · 178w
But people will pay more to own a sat that they view as special in some way.

Satoshi’s Sats are rare Sats šŸ˜‰
waxwing · 178w
Sats do not exist at all.
Scott · 178w
All sats are rare. Stack accordingly
kepford · 178w
What I love about all this is that if people wanna do silly stuff with their sats they can. Bitcoin keeps chugging along unfazed. Permission-less
marcp · 178w
Either that or they are all "rare". Either way all sats are equal. Fungibility is essential for Money.
nostrich · 178w
Bitcoin is scarce enough.

I’ll give you one ā€œrare satā€ but remember it IS the most ā€œrareā€ of ā€œrare satsā€, because it’s ā€œrareā€
Rich Nost · 178w
Congrats. You threw money into something that slowed up the blockchain for two weeks and only has meaning as long as there are people who interpret on-chain data given a very specific way that hasn't even been formalized in a BIP. Sounds like a cult. WOW CASEY IS A GENIUS.
ted · 178w
So is that true with ordinals/inscriptions now too?
NostrDANus · 178w
Maybe, there will be a time, before hyperbitcoinization, where some ordinal sats are less worthy then non ordinal sats.
OceanSlim · 178w
Yes they do. All sats are rare.
Nick Carraway · 178w
Ordinals : Bitcoin = Jewelry : Gold
Tristan Brice Velloza Kildaire · 178w
Rare SATs exist man

Good point, big fan of the bible ordinals and 3d printing plns though

How is this supposed to work anyways? When a UTXO is partially spent and split to two different addresses, are both newly created UTXOs "special" coins? I really don't get the mindset behind these people.
