Its not insurgency. That label is too easy to apply to various things, granting justification to murder citizens to the federal government. The issue is fundamentally about states' rights. Only the state has the right to police itself ; only the state has the right to enforce its own laws. If the state asked for help from the federal government, that would be different. This is the primary issue.
The second, but still important, issue is that ICE is literally terrorists. I mean, by the definition of terrorism - look it up if you need to - those are terrorists. And they know it, and they are playing the part, hiding their faces. There's no difference between ICE and Hamas. Kidnappings and public executions. And the initial justification for them is to round up undesirables. What big enemy did we defeat that rounded up undesirables? But even they had the decency to show their faces while doing it.
