Take for example, Starship Troopers. The base material is unquestionably fascist, written by a fascist. The movie is inarguably a subversion of fascism via rug-pulling; the director himself says this is quite intention - he wanted to see if he could make you think fascism was sexy, and general the emotional impact as more of the curtain gets revealed and you realize you've been rooting for the fascists because of xenophobia and cultural ques.
