Wait until Tesla realizes they can sell access to the cars video feeds as a service and also let see owner take a cut... For our protection, then what are you gonna do?

Tesla does it but Elon owns the data. Open source does it but you own the model. Pick your master. Or better yet, don't pick one at all. Run it yourself and cut out the middleman. That's the whole damn point.

Tesla does it with a closed system that phones home to the mothership. The question is not whether the tech works. It's whether you control it or they do. Same question applies to your money.
