Canadians,
Wouldn't you want the USA to take you?
Lower taxes
More opportunity
More prosperity
Why not have the USA push in to Canada and take simply adjust the border to be 50miles north of whe...
The speed of information has accelerated..(the internet) we can now instantly Micro debate and problem solve on a larger scale than ever, fixing problems before they have a chance to grow, preventing the need to collectivize (collectivization is often how we overcome specific major threats). Which means less need for collectivization = society needs government less than ever before.
Coincidentally we are on the tail end of more government maximum, due to the arms race of Fiat currency/central banking discovered and entered into with the advent of WWI.
I believe the end of the nineteenth century societies were ready for a more open and free market, there was less need for the formal state as problems could be solved efficiently with new modern forms of freedom of speech, ideas openly debated. But instead of falling back the state found a way to expand...fiat. Scaling the it's self to an unprecedented size. Finding new ways to make itself necessary kicking the can up to another level.
Today we are at the same intersection. Could creative destruction finally have a chance or will the state find a way once again to kick the can to another level, a world none of us would like to live in.
Each people group have a unique way of dealing with suffering trauma or Mass social issues (flavors of problem solving). Reducing or escalating the eventual the negative outcomes.
In regards to the founding of the u.s. and the makeup of this people group they may hold the key to preventing another exponential jump in the scale of government as it is clear Asia or Europe will not solve for these issues with the head down and suffer on approach.
This is where the question of USA expanding into Canada or Greenland comes into play. If the US is able to expand it's physical assets, taxing base/inflation base, or region to externalize costs on willing participants this could buy the State time to transition onto another plateau, the superstate and freedom of speech problem solving will basically be eliminated. It will be a state sanctioned problem solving economy and you will be the problem that needs solved.
We really need the regional differences in order to put up resistance allowing Bitcoin to do it thing.
Reality what would be best is a breakup of Canadian provinces in American States. no formal all encompassing state just geographical trade efficiencies maintaining cooperation without the need for coercion.
All of this assumes you subscribe to the abundance theory of positive feedback loops and correctly aligned incentives that sounds money will unlock.

If not then enjoy the exponential leap in every problem you see today and anonymously say what you need to today because tomorrow you won't be able to.
So us taking Canada will be at great unlock for plethora of new problems we can't even imagine.
More state equals more problems when they're is no threat Beyond the state itself.
Organized state is supposed to be a temporary immune response to a direct threat that is worthy of taking the risk to collectivize. Then after the threat is overcome we scaled back to the optimal decentralized free market.
