After their note about being attacked does anybody else finds it a bit strange that they are shutting down their node completely? Are they spinning up a new one with better security or is something mo...

Either they lost a shit ton of money or they've been asked friendly to shut down their business. We all know from the beginning that states won't allow them to operate without kyc indefinitely and just let the money flow freely between the networks. Nowadays all of the swap services implement AML in one way or another. The fact that you do it atomically won't save you from being fucked by the government as long as you operate under a firm. Boltz was an excellent service to transfer your no-kyced and possibly coinjoined funds into the LN Network and from there to the LSPs like Phoenix which by the way are the next who will get fucked by the government. You're welcome.

That's what I'm also thinking, they got pressured to shut down. And the attack was just the good excuse for the public. Can't prove it, but that's what my gut tells me. It sure was clear that the state won't allow their service to run forever. Agree that all LSPs will be target.
