I wanted to give zaps an honest try.
But after only a week of usage my opinion only grows stronger.
I feel like zaps are keep...
Zaps having a "economic" effect is more of showcase of people actually valueing your input be it a funny meme or any other form someone else may appreciate and it can not be faked a 1000 zaps say a lot more than a 1000 likes
That all being said this is my personal view and i think if you want to build connections by interactions thats perfectly valid its opt in.
As to a a larger view i think the incentive on nostr is to be kind helpfull funny the zaps add to that compared to facebook twitter etc where you are rewarded for inducing rage and debate on every little thing since enagement nunber now pushes you up
