I know from our conversation in the pub ages ago that your heart is in the right place. I love your drive. Unfortunately, for me (and this doesn't mean I'm the oracle), entertaining the same system that created the hell we are all forced to live in is fuelling that system.
Bitcoin's core tenet is trustlessness. What is a Government? Trying to get that "trusted" third party to understand/accept a protocol that in it's design emasculates them is getting turkeys to vote for Christmas. They (establishment, billionaire class etc...) understand this. They will never accept it. They may try to coopt it.
Unfortunately, again, mining btc in the UK (especially) isn't practical. The government could by using us, as it's slave class, to fund it. We would not see the benefits because they do not care about people. My question would be why help them?
