It's hard to know why in your experience men shut down in these conversations without understanding more about the conversations. Please, share if you feel like it.
sure, one recent example is a post on Facebook that said "Ladies, if you were a man for a day, what would you do?" And I said "Go for a walk by myself at night." and that then kicked it off. Then I get all the "You're paranoid", "stop hating on men", "men have to deal with danger too", on and on.
