You know when somebody asks why something is funny and when the joke is explained, it stops being funny?

Herd mentality:
Firstly, Apple are winning an AI race they didn't even enter.
Secondly, we're all buying $10,000 machines to replace our $20 a month subscriptions because we're following the fashion without understanding the game.
Thirdly, we are now the cause of the memory shortage, but we're also causing a shortage of Apple products which will ripple out to other platforms and cause the AI bubble everybody predicted, to collapse when we move on to the next evolution of AI. Imagine buying a valve radio just before the invention of the transistor.
