Man, it's been crazy on here the past couple days. What do you make of it? Is opensats really run by a cartel of self-dealing influencers? I think there's a lil something to it, but not my fight. Been...
There's only one thing harder than failure, and that's success.
I think NOSTR is starting to do stuff, I've been posting about it quite a bit. I don't think NOSTR is winning the social media wars, but I think it's beginning to be recognised as a freedom protocol. I think that's why we are bickering, we're not used to winning on here π
I'm also really excited about the AI future. Sure, we're in a bubble, and yes AI is going to kill us all. But that aside, I had a revelation the other day. I resurrected my very old DSLR camera because we had a new pair on ducks on our pond. I wanted to photograph them, but the pond is too far away for an iPhone to get good snaps and so I whipped out my 15 year old DSLR with its telephoto lens. I took some bad photos of the ducks, but then decided to ask Chatty some questions about my camera. Things I'd never understood. This turned into an 8 hour photography course, which I posted about online.
The amazing thing about Chatty, the Photography teacher and critic was the depth and breadth I could go to in any direction I wanted to at any time I wanted. I deep dived ISO because I always wondered why we never called it "Film Sensitivity" and why it was in steps of 100. Chatty knew everything, the whole history.
Chatty could teach me "how I wanted to be taught". For the first time in my life I had a teacher that was 1 on 1, with infinite patience and pretty much infinite knowledge. And a teacher I could teach how to teach me.
I then realised the potential, not just for me, but for education and learning. We assume that AI takes away the need to think or understand stuff and if you want it to, it can. But if you are curious about the world, for Β£20 a month, you have access to the worlds best teachers teaching you what you want, the way you want.
This is one example of an absolute game changing and life changing world we are entering into and I, for one, am unbelievably enthused about the potential to change just this tiny bit of the world, let alone every other part of the world at the same time.
Also, Saylor sold 32 BTC and crashed the price forever π
