@average_gary does the vinteum piece get into why the sha256 pipeline on an asic is so hard to retarget, or does it stay up at the protocol layer?

Pretty sure that has to do with the way the volatge flows through the chips. Iirc, they're serial on a single board so changing to new work requires flushing the current work. I could be wrong and would defer to nostr:nprofile1qqsq04ppqc5dzfk5p86fg08xu2stpnnhtzfu6fh9vv0vgp43qg8jvuc3kcg20
