This is the most milquetoast approach to the whole debate, especially if you offer a node in a box product.

It's a demonstrable fact that if there is no existing URSF, then a UASF is more likely to succeed. And also he's saying that if you want to switch between implementations, they're making it super easy. How is this a contemptible stance?

If you think BIP-110 is "more likely to succeed" you are living in a fantasy world. Sorry, that is the reality. How long will miners/users stay on a chain that is mining a block a day? My guess is a day or two.
