A report revealed that Berlin Police Chief Barbara Slowik Mesel attended an event as an honorary guest organized by a German evangelical group supporting Israel, called Christians Standing with Israel, which was attended by more than 400 participants.

The event included religious reflections on “God’s plans for Israel” and featured activists and journalists who support Israeli policies.

Her participation comes amid increasing criticism of how Berlin handled pro-Palestinian demonstrators in recent months.
