Australian filmmaker and Gaza flotilla activist Juliet Lamont said she was raped by Israeli soldiers after the Global Sumud aid vessel was intercepted in international waters.

She described being shackled, beaten, and held in a shipping container she called a “torture tunnel,” where she was assaulted.

Lamont was among more than 450 activists abducted, with at least 15 reportedly sexually assaulted or raped in Israeli prisons.

Over the last three days, Israeli occupation authorities forced the Awadallah family in Qalandia, north of occupied Jerusalem, to carry out the self-demolition of their homes on the grounds of lacking building permits.

The family was compelled to demolish seven inhabited houses, six of them on Saturday and a seventh the day before, in order to avoid heavy fines and demolition costs that would have been imposed if the Israeli authorities had carried out the operation themselves.

An Israeli airstrike on the town of Adloun in Lebanon’s Tyre district killed at least eight Syrian civilians, including six children.
