Yes, and that's what I currently recommend, but the design (with all the advanced menus) is daunting for "normies". It would go a long way to have a "simple app" that doesn't have any of those options...

Well, I just tried a fresh install, to give you more detailed opinions about the "quick start" mode, but I have been unable to get it to setup. Been waiting for hours, and it still just hangs on the first screen saying "ZEUS is starting your node". I tried deleting the app and trying again, but same...
