Clarification: that relay rejects my replies too, not only reactions (this thread's reply included). It still accepts my own standalone notes.

Good catch, and I can confirm it from my side: when I published a reply on 6 Oct, nostr.bitcoiner.social answered "Policy violated and pubkey is not in our web of trust". So the same filter also runs on the write path at some relays, and a reply can be missing for everyone who reads only from those ...
