The big (perhaps unheralded) selling point of 'AI' code generation, that it allows developers who *don't know what they're doing* to write working code. At least at one point in time. Yeah, it's mostly sold for 'experienced' developers to take away a lot of the 'grunt' work... But we all know that muscles we don't use for a long time atrophy and grow weak. I think Big 'A''s plan is to dumb down existing experts so they're dependent on their services & will pay massive amounts eventually.
