@nprofile1q... it's fine for what it does, but the price is exorbitant. I don't think it's any better than the home-grown option. And from a data sovereignty/privacy perspective AU hosting is no better than US hosting if it's held in a US Big Tech-owned cloud centre.

@nprofile1q... we use Kōtui here in Ōtautahi, too. Ironic that it's got a te reo Māori name but is an eye-wateringly expensive proprietary Canadian product hosted in Canada & the US (every single transaction I've done with ours is either to the US or Canada according to my geoip plugin). I wish our NZ libraries would use NZ's own, world-leading library management system, Koha, hosted here, instead. It's libre/open source, and managed services are provided by NZ-owned businesses.

@nprofile1q... yes, Aotearoa NZ's policy makers are missing this boat imperilling us all. The lack of digital nous among our Gov't decision/policy-makers is palpable and should be sackworthy.
