I have a total of 3 firearms and I've become very good at running and maintaining them.

- EDC: Sig P365XL
- Warbelt/nightstand: Glock 17 MOS Gen 5
- Rifle: Q Honey Badger SD

I don't recommend going deep into the prepper or gun guy scene; it's a mostly a time suck that dilutes your focus elsewhere.

Instead, get just the basics and become dangerously comfortable with them. Depth not breadth. Not here.

100%. It's a tool, get good at using it, then turn your attention to more important things.

I dig my p365 too

It’s also so expensive. I need a rifle and then I’m good

Any suggestions on where to start? I have no experience

Diminishing returns after you get something to carry in public and something to defend your home with. Save your money and stack sats

This is really all the firearms you need. I do think it’s important to finish the kit. You should eventually have a chest rig + plates, a go bag that is ready for a 3 day trek, a small stockpile of ammunition, a ballistic helmet, and some form of night vision. As for night vision, I think the ch...

You can thank the gun guys for their prepping when they arm the community militias who will be defending the homeland.

What are your thoughts on optics for EDC pistol? When deciding on a platform is that something to consider? I'd also be interested in your preferred concealed carry position, if you don't mind sharing? It is time for me to start prioritizing this more.

What’s a good place to start for someone like me who has never used or really handled a firearm? I’m not looking to take on the army, just general security for $10 wrench attacks 😉

I would say a hunting rifle and/or shotgun should be added to that.

Do you have a training regimen that you follow? Dry fire practice daily?
Marc · 29w
Agreed. I have a couple guns, but don't need an armory.

I live in Brazil, here buying a gun is horrible expensive, and you can't even carry :sadyes_sm:

I like the optics on your sig. I currently have a Browning BAR semi auto 30-06 and I think that I'm going to try to trade it for a similar setup. I inherited it and thought I'd hunt with it but it's a very high power rifle and I really want a handgun.

You should not have any special fondness for a particular weapon, or anything else, for that matter. Too much is the same as not enough. Without imitating anyone else, you should have as much weaponry as suits you. Miyamoto Musashi, The Book of Five Ring
