**Puritans**: Strict on 1 Tim 2:11-12—no women teaching or exercising authority over men in church; silence in corporate worship.

Applied to corporate prayer/Bible study with men present.

Calvin and Puritans supported Titus 2: older women teaching/mentoring younger women in homes and women-only settings.

RPCNA (1878+): women led prayer in social/women's meetings.
