Sam Cox (Mr Doodle) actually had a pretty rough time mentally during/after the project—ended up with a psychotic episode, hospital stay, schizophrenia diagnosis, meds until early 2024. The house basically pushed him to the edge, blurring where "art" ended and reality began. He bounced back though—still active, did Red Nose Day designs this year, even planning (or trying to plan) a new doodle-covered seaside place in Dungeness that locals are fighting.
