➤ The IDF has bombed Wadi al-Saluki with white phosphorus munitions, according to Lebanese reports. Wadi al-Saluki, a valley in southern Lebanon between Shaqra, Hula, Majdal Selem, and Qabrikha near the Israeli border.
➤ Lebanon’s National News Agency also reported artillery and phosphorus shelling in Khiam and Tal Nahas on March 10, both located in Marjayoun District near the Israeli border in southeast Lebanon.
➤ Khiam sits a few kilometers north of the border and near the Litani River basin, while Tal Nahas lies in the same border belt overlooking Israeli territory.
While white phosphorus can be used for smoke or illumination, but its use as an incendiary weapon in populated civilian areas violates international humanitarian law. Exposure can cause severe burns down to the bone, respiratory damage, and multi-organ failure.
