I genuinely don’t understand why there aren’t a bunch of new memory companies spinning up. With prices this high you’d think capitalism would serve demand.
@nprofile1q... memory fabbing is known to have an absolutely brutal boom/bust cycle, and it takes a LOT of capital and time to build a fab capable of making DDR4 or better, and also said fab can't easily switch to making anything else.
