you know what, I was already iffy on including GTS in my upcoming mass sockpuppet migration, but I think that seals the deal. no GoToSocial for me, I'm all set.

@nprofile1q... well since I use Tails I get to keep up with GNOME developments, and I like to think I'm open to projects going in a new direction, so if they do I'll probably find out about it fairly quickly. cheers 😎

@nprofile1q... that being said, my sleep/wake cycle has been out of control for months as well, and no additional chemical solutions to mood issues should be tried without fixing the circadian rhythm first.

@nprofile1q... in my case the meds are already doing a LOT of heavy lifting. there is one chemical solution I know for sure would help to some degree (kratom), but insurance doesn't cover it, it causes physical dependence, and the government keeps threatening to ban it. I quit taking it a little under a year ago because I didn't want to go thru an unscheduled detox at the whim of the state, and don't have the cash to always keep a large amount on hand to mitigate that issue.

@nprofile1q... that little kerfuffle over the attitude was one of the later straws in the pile which ultimately broke this camel's back; I already didn't use GNOME except when I can't avoid it, but now I've started making an effort to drop apps with GNOMEified UI and GTK apps in general in favor of others where there's an equivalent available. if I'm gonna be contributing in any way (such as bug reports), I want my contribution to go toward building a healthy non-GNOME, non-GTK ecosystem.

@nprofile1q... I charge less than I'm worth because my deliverability and turnaround time are in the 🚽 due to chronic burnout. I'm lucky that I know how to touch computers, so my discounted rate is still half decent compared to something like fast food or Walmart.

@nprofile1q... I haven't tried n8n (or even heard of it before now) but all my projects have been involuntarily paused because, as I just recently realized, I've been depressed for like 3 months. I am definitely going to pick your brain about some related things once I get back on the horse though. I'm still at the reboot phase.

@nprofile1q... oh it's just a list of terms in the standard Mastodon filtering mechanism. I'm not sure what will become of it when I migrate my various sock puppets to different fedi platforms (Any Day Now™) but if Mastodon ever gets around to implementing filter import/export and I still have any accounts on Mastodon, I will strongly consider sharing it (and my English politics filter list) for everyone to use.
