Headsup that I'm not a fan of derogatory or paranoid generalisations about product managers and the like. I point out that it's a product manager here because it speaks to what's going on with engineering oversight regarding commits to a codebase.

In any case whatever happens in an organisation is the result of dynamics created by senior leadership decisions as well as broader economic conditions. Pointing fingers at individuals who happen to be visible to you seems to feel good to many of you, I don't relate to that.
