@nprofile1q... @Jupiter Rowland well, the ALT text is controversial topic, as some people use AI to generated them, which is really useless (visually challenged users can use AI to generate them themselves... but perhaps they want description written by humans?)
A usually cheat and post quite short ALT texts, but human written. It takes some time, but it helps me to think about what I just posted. And perhaps, if I knew I was writing it for a blind follower, who I know personally, and who interacts, I would spend more time writing the ALT texts.
Also, ALT text translates with the rest of the post, which can be helpful for images which contain only foreign language text.
Hubzilla is the most incompatible ActivityPub software in Fediverse. You do just lot of things wrong, to put it mildly. Hashtags in Hubzilla are considered instance-local and handled as links to the instance, which is not helpful, because in Mastodon hashtags are considered federated.
Lot of links in Hubzilla posts just link to the home instance of the post, where I don't have account and can't interact. This is paradigm, which just won't work... yes, the Hubzilla author is writing Streams, with nomadic identity, but it also means, that he understands, that Hubzilla approach is kind of dead-end.
The content in Fediverse should be always handled by local instance (or local app), and while nomadic identitity would be cool thing, currently it does not exist and we are logged into single instance and have to interact with the content using this instance.
It is not lot of federated web sites, where we will still write or generate some HTML, or so: it is federated content, which kind of replaces web, and just uses it for backwards compatibility...
