That's true and Monero has a long way to go to come close to Bitcoin settlement finality.
An advantage to having default privacy though is you can't be specifically targeted for miner censorship.
It has to be random (ineffective) or ongoing empty blocks (unsustainable).
If Bitcoin was private it would be that much more unstoppable.
