What we need is a digital ID system that uses biometric verification, such as iris, fingerprint, and palm scans, that remains fully controlled by the individual. This system could be integrated with election voting systems and Bitcoin-based payment platforms.

China has implemented similar tech but in their case, the data is centrally stored and managed by the state, which isn't compatible in Western societies because it's dangerous for the government to have our data.
