@Atomic Samson Is a general motorcycle repair kit with common parts not better? Cycling for 30 miles across the prairie sounds terrible.

I'm thinking about a worse case grid down/EMP situation where nobody but the guys with 50 year old cars are getting home that day. Granted, I doubt I'll survive that sort of situation long term. But I'd rather be home with my supplies than at work.
