Yesterday I was gone for 30 minutes to go to the grocery store. When I came back the pillows on the couch had been knocked to the floor and I thought Aurora just had an ungraceful dismount from the couch.
But later on I noticed she was acting almost suspiciously calm. Then in the evening I was seeing a slight tremble in her back legs. Last night she didn't jump up into the bed at all, just stayed on the floor in a little nest of pillows and blankets.
This morning she was able to walk, tail wag, went out for morning break. But already she's acting tired and in pain. I wonder if poor thing didn't also hurt herself.
I've already called the vet and set up the earliest appointment possible but it's a week out. In the meantime we'll just have calm time together.
