I've never been in a situation where my manager was just as disconnected from my position as is the case in my new position.

Which is weird because he hired me for it.

But it turns out he's not the team lead, and in fact was unclear on who the team lead is and how many people even are in the team. And he's my manager, but not the manager of any of my team members.
How does that even...?

It'd just week one, maybe I'll understand with time.
