Usually it's just a natural thing that doesn't require a lot of thought. I don't know how the woman side of that works. There are usually subtle hints. I guess my advice is the more masculine approach.

Well you need to give more context -- the 20 something me found it sus, the 40 something me doesn't. How old is the dude, what's he doing, what is he dressed like, why is he attractive to you. Without that I just make generic assumptions that probably aren't accurate.

i think it just strikes like a lightning bolt for men. you need a rainstorm on the trail and the guy with the mustache and dog and you have to crowd under the only bus shelter. then queue the lightning bolt (nearby) and if that doesn't do the trick, it wasn't meant to be!
